ENG : In conjunction with the installations But… The Clouds, a publication of 4 editions was published. For each town a cloud picture was chosen and printed for the cover of each edition. The book's themes were inspired by the « cloud-flag » signification. The photographs were not illustratives, but they testified to the life and work conditions, the relationships with the industrial past, with the capitalist or communist past. Echoes and correspondances weave between the four cities. Timisoara and Chemnitz (Karl-Marx-Stadt) were in the communist bloc, and the cities still have traces from this past. Each book is devoted to one town, with a Text about a main topic. For Kassel, it is the nationale identity. For Chemnitz, the industrial architecture. For Timisoara, the migration. For Mulhouse, the fraternity.

FR : Les TWIN CITIES sont publiés à l’issue de résidences d'Anne Immelé à Kassel, Chemnitz et Timisoara en 2011, en lien avec le projet BUT…THE CLOUDS - installations de drapeaux-nuages dans l'espace public.
Un jeu d'échos et de correspondances se produit entre les 4 villes, des thématiques s'entrecroisent, elles sont liées aux questions posées par les drapeaux-nuages qui ne véhiculent pas l’idée de Patrie, mais posent des questions liées aux communautés, aux identités nationales, aux flux transfrontaliers, à la fraternité.
